The "File" menu drives common system functions providing (1) search and data entry capabilities in the Search option, (2) District Review to provide compound searches and (3) standard report creation with date range and selection criteria.

File >> Search brings up the main search screen.

The "Tools" menu has the most extensive collection of commands, primarily under "System Administration", which allows users to update dictionaries that include disease, region, census tract, exposure type, food source and others. Other administrative functions include audit review, configuration, detail reporting, disease groupings, outbreak counters and the like.

The "Help" menu provides access to dictionary terms, a user guide, issue tracking, and the "about" screen that is pictured at left designating current version and other general factors.
