The Acute Communicable Disease Control Unit of LA County's Department of Health Services has successfully launched Visual CMR, a Communicable Disease Tracking System developed to ACDC's specifications by Atlas Development Corporation of Calabasas, California. The system is a flexible, robust, feature-rich tool for tracking and reporting disease incidents and outbreaks using a comprehensive suite of case management tools. LA County DHS wins National Association of Counties 2003 Achievement Award for Communicable Disease Tracking System

On July 15, 2003, the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) announced that the National Association of Counties (NACo) has awarded a 2003 NACo Achievement Award to the county health department for its “Visual Confidential Morbidity Report (CMR).
